This wedding is up there with one of the most relaxed I’ve done, chilled out bride and groom Su and Edd in my eyes nailed it with the informal and relaxed way they went about it.
The Oak Barn near Hittisleigh is a top wedding venue, with very friendly owners, who can’t do enough to make your whole experience a good one. Surrounded by rolling hills and sheep, for a Welshman like myself, it didn’t take me long to acclimatise to the surroundings.
It was really relaxed, Su and Edd aren’t really that keen on being photographed, so they kind of let me loose at the wedding to do my thing. A natural, documentary wedding photography feel and approach, and it suited and worked well with the couple.
Everyone brought a dessert they had created, which made it all personal, all kinds of cakes laid out on the table, a lovely touch, accompanied by a hog roast made it all a winner.
After the speeches a few of the guests ended up playing a game of football on the freshly cut lawn outside, with Edd being a mad Liverpool footy nut this boded quite nicely, although I didn’t see him out there doing his best Jan Molby impression.
A great personal, relaxed and friendly wedding at The Oak Barn, as simple and easy as that.
I wish Su and Edd the best.
