I haven’t done a blog for a while, it’s been really busy with weddings, as we’re right in the mixer of the season now. This particular wedding took me to Poole in Dorset, at the venue of Compton Acres, the Italian Villa and gardens.
David and Fleur got in touch over the Christmas period just gone, and liked my documentary style photography approach, so we were half way there already 🙂
It’s a really lovely venue, my partner Sarah’s sister lives a short car journey away in Bournemouth, so we all made a weekend of it, and packed the kids into the car and off we went.
The wedding day itself was boiling, one of the hottest weddings I’ve had to photograph, the place itself has many areas where we could photograph, but we decided to keep it simple, and hit the Japanese gardens, which to be fair, was probably the best area to shoot.
I was basically left to my on devices picture wise, David and Fleur kind of gave me a blank canvas to work from, so I went about shooting it in my own way, which suited everyone.
I’d like to do another wedding at this venue, as this was my first time there, nice to see family as well, that’s the great thing about this job, you never know where your going to end up.
Thanks for looking and if you want to see any other weddings I have shot please visit www.grwphotography.co.uk
