I had back to back weddings this weekend, and the first was Stephanie and Alistair’s at King’s Weston House in Bristol. I went up the night before with my second shooter Zac, it’s always best to get to weddings earlier rather than late, as if there is a hold up on the M5 that morning travelling up, then it’s an iphone job from the bridesmaids I guess, so better to be safe than sorry.
Steph is Welsh, from Swansea, and when I met her family properly on the morning of the wedding, it went down a treat, it’s not as often as I would like that I shoot Welsh weddings, even though this one was in Bristol, but you know what I mean, it was nice to flitter about amongst the taffs, and take in the lovely floaty hilly accents all around.
The groom Alistair is a twin, I have twin boys, identical, just like Alistair and his brother, I pay more attention to twins these days when I see them, and think it’s so interesting, as it’s what we have to come.
His brothers speech (who was bestman) was great, he mentioned how smart and handsome his brother looked, I liked that one, and could imagine my lads knocking that one out one day!
We left just after the first dance, and I could see early signs that this party was ramping up, I’m guessing the Welsh contingent had a fair say in this 🙂
