I won’t lie to you, I never photographed Helen and Katie’s wedding, which is really weird as this a blog about their wedding. But I feel like I did, if that helps, I was booked sadly on the actual date, but Helen wanted me to do some pictures the day after, and I was well up for that, like a kind of photo shoot.
I took it as a compliment that Helen wanted me to shoot some photos after the actual wedding itself, yes the moment had passed, and the day put to bed, but she had trust in me to get the shots 24hrs later, plus the fact that she is a pro wedding photographer in her own right, and a good one, just made the whole thing awesome and a challenge.
I had never stepped foot in Ocean Kave before now, didn’t even know where it was, did it matter?… Nope!
My style of wedding photography is all about playing it off the cuff, seeing it unfold before you, and documenting it, and this type of afternoon played right into that hand.
The sun was amazing, the sea was insane to look at with the colours, North Devon at it’s best for sure, with a truly fab couple, and a very sexy wedding venue, it was one of those win win days……
Cheers to both Helen and Katie for what was a very special afternoon that I won’t forget.
